Another enjoyable evening at Ferndown Speakers on Tuesday 1 September gave us plenty of firsts to celebrate.

Arran took on the Toastmaster role for the first time and led the meeting with a warm, relaxed and encouraging style.

There were several other firsts during the evening too. Senugi took on Timekeeper, Bob stepped into the Grammarian role, while our guests Edwina and Ash bravely tackled their first-ever Table Topics – and did a fantastic job.

Salma also tried something new, leading the warm-up and getting the evening off to a thoughtful and entertaining start.

We enjoyed excellent prepared speeches from Gary and Tristan, while Claire led a lively and encouraging Table Topics session.

Thoughtful feedback from Amelia and Hazel rounded off another evening of speaking, learning and encouragement.
